Napier & Hawkes Bay
Napier is the Art Deco capital of New Zealand in the heart of Hawkes Bay Wine Country. The Art Deco Walk is a permanent attraction, and each February there is the Art Deco Weekend, a not-too-serious celebration of the art deco style. More than 30 vineyards are open to the public for wine tasting. Other must-do attractions include Cape Kidnappers gannet colony, Hastings Farmers Market (Sunday am) and Te Mata Peak. |
